ACD has been founded to address issues of sustainable development through innovation, appropriate technology promotion and capacity building. ACD’s philosophy is not to duplicate the mandate of existing NGOs, rather carve a niche of its own to distinctly contribute to the sustainable development in general and NRM and water and environment sector in particular. • Participatory and human rights based approach to development,
• Strengthening grass roots level organization to ensure local level services delivery following principles of subsidiarity

• Introduction and promotion of appropriate technologies to crystallize change in largely dormant societies
• Productively engage children as change agents through active learning methods/life skills based education/child to child communication for realization of behavioural changes for sustained development
• Develop models of participatory civil and environmental planning, design, management and implementation;
• Capacity-building of municipalities, local government institutions and NGOs in specialized areas relating to environmental planning and design;
• Design and implementation of environmental impact assessments and participatory benefit monitoring systems.

Securing Education and Health struggles

Education & Health are the core and highlighted basic human rights and in one of ACD’s objective. Two basic rural Union Councils of Charsadda are mostly oppressed due to post insurgency and flood. Currently the area is facing seasonal diseases due to change in weather. ACD has specially targeted those ignored areas of both UCs based on lack of access to health resources for arrangement of health camps as well as in provision of renovation of Schools. Major portion of both UCs are still waiting for support of humanitarian agencies and Govt. ACD through support of its volunteer network and self-support base is busy in arrangement of free mobile health camps and community level schools in these villages’ areas at door step.

Renovation of Educational

After the reconciliation of flood affected reports, 86 GOVT schools found partially damaged in district Charsadda. In which ACD selected 3 schools voluntarily for renovation and MUD/DEBRI Cleaning purpose. In a short period of 1.5 month and through donations of various stakeholders.
